The book presents a methodology and primary approaches to the restoration of disturbed ecosystems in the Arctic using environmental restoration techniques illustrated by the international experience and Russian initiative projects.

Special attention is paid to a popular description of the structural and functional characteristics of Arctic ecosystems as a basis for the use of an environmental restoration method. The issues of the restoration of altered ecosystems as a result of some physical influence, including a description of the practical experience, are considered. A review of the Russian legislation in the field of rehabilitation is presented as a basis for planning the practical implementation of environmental restoration techniques.
